Mother Teresa

最近，听一个人说起 Mother Teresa 的故事。

虽然是个女子，却让我感到她像是个巨人。

一个人把他人放在第一位，心中只想帮助她想帮助的人。

如此无我，大悲心肠的人。。。难能可贵

话说。。。

Mother Teresa used an old car shed and turned it into a refuge for outcasts.

They gathered people who could find no sympathy, and were not able to help themselves--people who were in their last days on earth.

They brought in the poorest of the poor, cleaned them and cared for them.

In the evenings, Mother Teresa would often go out to beg food for them.

One day while she was begging on the streets, she asked a wealthy businessman to help her outcasts, to which he answered her by spitting in her face.

"This is my gift to you," he said.

She graciously wiped the spit off her face,
and said, "Thank you very much for the gift you have given to me"

Then she extended her hand and said, "Now what will you give for my children and these dying people who are with me?"

The man was so ashamed that he went to his shop and donated more to her work than she had ever received prior.

After that, he became a regular supporter of Mother Teresa's work; throughout her life and even after her death.
